23rd October 2013

Still on with commissions, it's been a very busy year. Traditionally I have been known for working with bright, summer colours and since working from my new studio I know that my work has moved on in many different ways. I have been very interested in seeing how my style may change as I continue to work from the studio within the Eggleston Hall Gardens through the autumn and winter seasons. The colours in the gardens are fantastic at the moment, there's gorgeous reds and golds and of course greens, well worth a visit.

I have been commissioned to work on a very autumnal scene and although at first was feeling a touch uninspired, I took a stroll through the gardens and returned with all varieties of seed heads, thistles and flowers at their very 'Autumnal,' stage. I found some very interesting challenges to work with and with my inspiration and enthusiasm restored I couldn't wait to get started..

Visitors are welcome to visit the studio throughout the autumn and winter. Usual opening times are Thursdays and Fridays 10.30 - 2.pm, Saturdays and Sundays 10.30 - 5pm. These opening times are not guaranteed due to weather conditions and family commitments. I can be there most days and will most often be there more than the days and hours stated above so please, if you're thinking of visiting the studio and gallery, leave a messageand I will confirm opening times more specifically.
